The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Zama have joined the Open Transaction Layer (OTL), expanding a Fireblocks-led effort to set shared standards for secure, compliant onchain transactions.

Other additions include BTG Pactual, Trace Finance, Calastone, Bank Frick, Gauntlet and GLEIF. The group is working on common standards for identity, messaging and transaction coordination.

OTL aims to establish common identity, messaging and transaction coordination standards for onchain finance. The planned framework spans financial institutions, self-custody wallets and software agents operating across blockchains.

OTL began in May with founding participants including Fireblocks, Robinhood, MetaMask, Checkout.com, Securitize and SoFi.
