AmpliTech Group shares rose 6.3% in premarket trading Oct. 21 as a $1.03 million follow-on order for low-noise amplifiers lifted the company’s total backlog above $52 million.

The Nasdaq-listed stock traded at $2.8176 at 9:29:30 a.m. ET (13:29:30 UTC), up $0.1676 from the previous close. The order went to AmpliTech’s AmpliTech Inc. division and came from an unnamed Fortune 1000 satellite communications company.

The order brought total backlog to a record level above $52 million. AmpliTech founder and CEO Fawad Maqbool said, “Our backlog now exceeds $52 million, and our priority is executing these orders efficiently and meeting our customers’ delivery requirements.”

The announcement followed a separate $21.7 million order for 5G O-RAN radio products on Oct. 20. Those products support deployments for an Asian mobile network operator. The Oct. 20 purchase raised cumulative purchases tied to the $78 million letter of intent to roughly $34 million and pushed backlog past $51 million.

The company expects to work through the backlog over the balance of fiscal 2026 and during fiscal 2027, guided by production plans and customer delivery schedules.
