Peso lists QR merchant payments in Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, while its account information lists local-currency deposits only in Bolivia. Customers can fund accounts with boliviano QR payments, Tether’s USD₮ (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), or U.S. ACH and wire transfers. Deposits in Argentine pesos, Brazilian reais and Colombian pesos are not listed.

That difference separates where customers can pay merchants from where they can add local currency to a Peso account. Tether led a pre-seed round for Peso to expand local on- and off-ramps, merchant point-of-sale services and virtual accounts across the four countries.

In Bolivia, customers ordering food through Yango can select Peso and confirm the payment in the Peso app. The payment instructions describe the charge as coming from a Peso balance but do not identify the currency Yango or merchants receive at settlement.
