The quarter ended June 30, and Corning's July 28 outlook called for $4.9 billion to $5 billion in third-quarter core sales.

Corning recorded $4.505 billion in GAAP net sales and $4.738 billion in core sales for the second quarter of 2026, which ended June 30. Core sales rose 17% year over year.
Optical Communications sales reached $2.072 billion, up 32% from a year earlier. Enterprise Networks sales increased 65%. Corning described generative AI product sales as growing “significantly faster,” without giving a rate.
On July 28, Corning forecast third-quarter 2026 core sales of $4.9 billion to $5 billion, representing about 16% year-over-year growth. It projected core earnings of $0.85 to $0.89 per share, about 28% above the year-earlier period.
“In the third quarter, we expect core sales to grow approximately 16% year over year to a range of $4.9 billion to $5 billion,” said Edward Schlesinger, Corning's executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Corning has a multiyear, multibillion-dollar agreement with Amazon. Under an agreement with NVIDIA, the company plans to expand U.S. optical-connectivity manufacturing capacity 10 times and fiber production capacity by more than 50% to meet demand from AI factory buildouts.
Under its Springboard plan, Corning aims for year-end annualized sales rates of $20 billion in 2026, $30 billion in 2028 and $40 billion in 2030.
