Old National Bancorp expects earnings per share to grow more than 15% in 2026 and loans to rise 6% to 8%, even as higher deposit costs limit margin gains.

The bank expects fourth-quarter lending to leave full-year loan growth near the low end of its projected range. It also expects net interest income to keep rising in dollar terms, though the full-year result is likely to be near the bottom of its guidance.

Business accounts and seasonal funds have supported deposit growth. Competition has made those deposits more expensive than Old National anticipated, and the bank expects only modest expansion in its net interest margin.

The outlook follows the bank’s third-quarter results, when it earned $0.66 per diluted share. Old National had $51.2 billion in loans and $57.6 billion in deposits at Sept. 30. Its net interest margin on a fully taxable equivalent basis was 3.52%, down two basis points from the previous quarter.
