United Rentals lifted its 2026 revenue and adjusted EBITDA targets after third-quarter revenue reached $4.893 billion, giving the equipment-rental company a higher full-year outlook following record quarterly results.

For the three months ended Sept. 30, rental revenue was $4.316 billion, up 17.8% from the same period a year earlier. Net income totaled $920 million. Diluted earnings per share under generally accepted accounting principles was $14.77, while adjusted earnings per share, a non-GAAP measure, was $15.55. Fleet productivity rose 6.5% year over year.

The revised revenue outlook is $18 billion to $18.2 billion, compared with the previous range of $17.5 billion to $17.8 billion. The new range raises the low end by $500 million and the high end by $400 million.

United Rentals also raised its adjusted EBITDA outlook to $8.3 billion to $8.4 billion, from $7.975 billion to $8.125 billion. That moves the low end up by $325 million and the high end by $275 million.

The company rents equipment to construction and industrial customers, utilities, municipalities, homeowners and other customers. It scheduled a conference call for Thursday, Oct. 22, at 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 UTC).
