Trane Technologies to Acquire Cancoil, Adding Texas and Ontario Sites
The deal includes more than 450 employees and a maker of heat-transfer equipment used in data centers and other facilities.

Trane Technologies agreed Oct. 21 to acquire Cancoil Thermal Corporation, a heat-transfer equipment maker that already supplies Trane’s chiller and airside divisions. The purchase would bring Cancoil’s Ontario manufacturing base and its Jacksonville, Texas, operation under Trane, along with a workforce of more than 450 people.
Founded in 1983 by Chander and Anju Datta, Cancoil is based in Ontario. Its products include fluid coolers, air-cooled condensers and custom finned-tube coils. They serve commercial and industrial uses such as data centers, food processing, refrigerated warehouses, supermarkets, schools and hospitals.
Cancoil will keep serving customers under its current approach. Trane’s stated aims for the acquisition are to build heat-transfer expertise and strengthen supply-chain resilience.
“Cancoil adds a critical capability at the right time for our business and our customers,” said Donny Simmons, Trane Technologies’ chief operating officer.
Trane is targeting completion by year-end 2026, pending regulatory approval and other customary closing requirements. The companies have not disclosed financial terms.
