SAP posted quarterly revenue of €10.270 billion for the first time, with cloud sales up 26% year over year, and expects two 2026 revenue measures to finish near the high ends of their existing ranges.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose 13% from €9.076 billion a year earlier. At constant currencies, growth was 12%. Cloud revenue reached €6.668 billion, a 26% increase, or 25% at constant currencies.

Current cloud backlog totaled €24.144 billion, up 28% from a year earlier and 26% at constant currencies. The reported growth rates for revenue, cloud sales and backlog were each higher than their constant-currency rates. IFRS operating profit rose 18% to €2.930 billion, while non-IFRS operating profit increased 18% to €3.030 billion. Free cash flow climbed 36% to €1.718 billion.

SAP sees 2026 cloud revenue near €26.2 billion and cloud-and-software revenue near €36.8 billion, the respective upper bounds of its constant-currency forecast ranges. The forecasts use constant currencies. SAP kept its non-IFRS operating-profit outlook at €11.8 billion to €12.2 billion, also on a constant-currency basis.

Software-licensing revenue declined 9% to €147 million, while software-support revenue fell 5% to €2.434 billion.

SAP unveiled its Autonomous Enterprise approach during the May 2026 Sapphire event. Joule Work gives users a shared space for SAP apps and tools to coordinate AI assistants and agents across business workflows. The quarterly results did not include a separate figure for revenue from AI.

SAP CEO Christian Klein said, “Our Autonomous Enterprise strategy is not just resonating, it is being adopted.”
