Mizuho Keeps $140 Robinhood Target as Survey Finds Perpetuals Interest
In a survey of more than 600 active Robinhood users, 84% said they would use mostly or entirely new funds to trade the contracts.

Mizuho Securities kept its Outperform rating and $140 price target for Robinhood after a survey of more than 600 active users found 94% were likely or very likely to trade single-stock perpetual futures if the platform offered them.
Eighty-four percent of respondents said they would use mostly or entirely new funds for the product. Mizuho viewed that response as indicating the contracts could draw limited activity from users’ existing stock trades.
Mizuho Managing Director Dan Dolev characterized the potential demand as a positive for Robinhood. The survey findings informed the firm’s view that single-stock perpetual futures could benefit the company.
Robinhood announced Sept. 29 that it plans to offer perpetual futures to U.S. users in the coming months and provide round-the-clock trading in some U.S. stocks. Company executives have recently said they have no single-stock perpetual futures plan to announce.
Mizuho sees a possible launch in the medium term, though the timing is uncertain. Coinbase has also recently filed to offer perpetual futures tied to large-cap U.S. stocks.
