Bitvavo will end trading in Across Protocol (ACX) on Oct. 27, leaving holders one hour to withdraw tokens if they want to use Across’s separate exchange portal before it closes in January.

Deposits close at 8 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC) that day, trading ends at 9 a.m. ET (13:00 UTC), and withdrawals stop at 10 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC). The withdrawal window therefore extends for one hour after trading ends. Bitvavo allows withdrawals to an external wallet or another exchange until its cutoff; a network fee applies. Open ACX limit orders will be canceled when trading stops.

The deadline matters to holders considering Across’s portal because it requires ACX to be held in a self-custody wallet, controlled by the holder rather than an exchange. ACX remaining on Bitvavo after withdrawals close will not be available in that wallet for either portal option.

Bitvavo will automatically sell any ACX still on the exchange at the prevailing market rate and convert it to euros on or before Nov. 5. The exchange has not set an execution time or conversion rate in advance, so the sale may happen before that date.

Across’s portal offers two choices. Holders may exchange ACX for equity in Across, Inc. at a 1:1 ratio, subject to eligibility checks, identity verification and minimums. The listed minimum is 250,000 ACX, though smaller amounts may be considered. U.S. applicants must be accredited investors. The other option redeems ACX at a fixed rate of 0.04375 USDC per token, with no application or minimum.

Risk Labs proposed in March 2026 that Across move from token-based DAO governance to a private U.S. corporation. The protocol later transferred to Across, Inc. As part of the transition, ACX is scheduled to lose its governance, utility and economic functions after Jan. 8, 2027, when the portal options close.
