MSC Industrial Supply Co. posted fiscal fourth-quarter adjusted diluted earnings of $1.45 per share, topping the $1.41 estimate, as net sales rose 10.3% to $1.0792 billion in the period ended Aug. 29.

Revenue also exceeded the $1.07 billion analyst estimate. Average daily sales increased 8.6%, above the 6.5% to 8.5% range in MSC’s earlier fourth-quarter sales outlook. The result was 0.1 percentage point above the top of that range.

Net sales growth accelerated from 7.8% in fiscal third quarter, when revenue was $1.0471 billion. Average daily sales also grew 7.8% in that quarter. Adjusted diluted EPS was $1.43 in the third quarter.

For the fourth quarter, adjusted EPS increased 33% from $1.09 a year earlier. Adjusted EPS is a non-GAAP measure and should be considered alongside its comparable GAAP result. GAAP diluted EPS was $0.85, down from $1.01 in the year-earlier quarter. MSC recorded $41.774 million in asset impairment and related charges.

“We had a strong finish to fiscal 2026, with fourth quarter results exceeding our expectations,” said Martina McIsaac, MSC’s president and CEO. The company distributes metalworking and maintenance, repair and operations products and services.

For fiscal 2027’s first quarter, MSC projected average daily sales growth of 9.5% to 10.5% year over year and an adjusted operating margin of 9.5% to 10.1%.
