Fireblocks Denies Visa Deal Rumors After $2.5B Buyout Report
A Fireblocks spokesperson called the current-talks claim untrue. Visa has not publicly confirmed acquisition discussions.

Fireblocks denied it is currently in talks to be acquired by Visa, pushing back on a $2.5 billion deal rumor that would put the payments giant deeper into crypto infrastructure.
“We are aware of the rumors about a possible acquisition of Fireblocks by Visa. This is news to us, and not true at present time,” a Fireblocks spokesperson said Thursday.
Visa has not publicly confirmed acquisition discussions, leaving the status of any negotiations unverified.
Fireblocks provides digital-asset infrastructure for institutional stablecoin payments, settlement and custody. A purchase would give Visa a platform serving those functions.
Fireblocks raised $550 million in January 2022 at a valuation of more than $8 billion. That was a fundraising valuation, not an acquisition price, so it is not directly comparable with the rumor’s approximate $2.5 billion figure. The $2.5 billion is not a confirmed offer.
