Grupo Bimbo Raises 2026 Margin Expansion Floor to 85 Basis Points
The company kept the upper end of its range at 120 basis points. North American adjusted EBITDA margin rose to 10.8% in the third quarter despite lower volumes.

Grupo Bimbo raised the lower end of its 2026 adjusted EBITDA margin expansion outlook by 15 basis points, while third-quarter results showed North American margins improved despite lower volumes.
The company now expects margin expansion of 85 to 120 basis points, compared with its previous range of 70 to 120 basis points. The upper end of the range was unchanged.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, net sales fell 1.3% on a reported basis to MXN 106.061 billion, while rising 3.6% excluding foreign-exchange effects. Adjusted EBITDA increased 9.3% excluding foreign exchange to MXN 16.644 billion. The adjusted EBITDA margin rose 100 basis points year over year to 15.7%.
In North America, which includes the United States and Canada, sales increased 1% excluding foreign exchange even as volumes declined. The region’s adjusted EBITDA margin rose 40 basis points to 10.8%. North American margin gains reflected productivity improvements, favorable pricing and product mix, and lower restructuring costs, which outweighed weaker volumes, higher logistics costs and peso-related pressure on goods imported from Mexico.
For 2026, the company still projects mid-single-digit sales growth on a currency-adjusted basis, equivalent to results ranging from flat to a low-single-digit decline in pesos. Its capital expenditure outlook remains $1 billion to $1.2 billion for 2026.
