XAO DAO approved Proposal 66, authorizing a planned deployment of 80% of its XRP treasury to Firelight. The decision directs most of the DAO’s XRP reserve to one destination, setting the allocation’s share and intended recipient. The approval authorizes the plan; it does not establish that a transfer has been completed.

XAO DAO co-founder Santiago Velez announced that Proposal 66 passed. The authorization specifies two core terms: 80% of the XRP treasury and Firelight as its destination. Four-fifths of the reserve gives Firelight a central role in the DAO’s approved treasury plan. The vote is a governance decision about where a large share of XAO DAO’s XRP is intended to go.

The vote came amid broader governance activity at XAO DAO. Several proposals have passed in recent weeks, with Proposal 66 among the approvals. This proposal specifically addresses the DAO’s XRP treasury and names Firelight as the intended recipient.

The DAO’s community forum is also live. XAO DAO called the launch a major milestone in an Oct. 22 update. The forum launch and Proposal 66 are separate developments: one adds a community forum, while the other authorizes a treasury deployment. The forum’s community role differs from the specific XRP allocation, though both were part of recent activity at XAO DAO. The vote establishes the intended use of the funds, while execution remains distinct from governance approval.
