OpenAI and Poland’s NASK Partner on AI Safety and Cybersecurity
The partnership covers safeguards, cybersecurity and technical research, but names no projects, funding or schedule.

OpenAI and Poland’s NASK announced Oct. 23 a joint effort on AI safeguards, cybersecurity and technical research, aiming to make digital systems more resilient. The organizations named no projects or funding and set no schedule for the work.
The Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs oversees NASK, a state research institute. It operates Poland’s .pl domain registry and the Nationwide Education Network, known as OSE, and works in cybersecurity, telecommunications, artificial intelligence and digital education.
NASK also houses CERT Polska, established within the institute in 1996. It is one of Poland’s three national-level computer security incident response teams. Its work includes monitoring threats, issuing early warnings, responding to incidents and analyzing malware and vulnerabilities.
Separately, on July 15, OpenAI called for documented safety frameworks, serious-incident reporting and independent audits in a proposal on frontier-AI standards.
