ChangeNOW Executive Describes Bitcoin Cross-Chain Integration Talks
The prospective partner is unnamed, and Martin Masser described no signed agreement or launched feature.

ChangeNOW Director of Strategic Partnerships Martin Masser described exploratory talks with an unnamed prospective partner seeking Bitcoin (BTC) cross-chain capabilities, while saying partnerships should address a defined product need and have agreed measures of success.
“I don’t like the point of doing a partnership for the sake of a partnership,” Masser said. He cited deeper liquidity, cross-chain functions and access to unsupported chains as possible reasons for companies to work together. He also called vague references to “synergies” a warning sign when people cannot explain what they mean.
Masser said the prospective partner needed Bitcoin cross-chain capabilities and that the sides had started exploring an integration. He did not describe a signed agreement or a launched feature.
ChangeNOW began as a crypto-swapping service in 2017. Its services now include buying and selling crypto, swaps, transfers between networks, trading and borrowing. Businesses can add swap functionality to their products through an API or widget.
Integration schedules can vary, Masser said. He described one integration that might be completed from Monday to Friday and another involving a similarly sized company that could still be working through a nondisclosure agreement two months later. He presented the comparison as an anecdote, not an average.
Masser said teams should review activity after an integration and look into results that fall short of expectations. “If we’re not getting the volume or activity we expected, I’ll ask whether there’s a reason,” he said. The Bitcoin integration remains at the exploration stage, with no launch or measured results described.
