Eni Targets First Gas in 2028 From Offshore Cyprus Cronos Project
The Block 6 development is expected to reach plateau production of 500 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

Eni approved the final investment decision for its offshore Cyprus Cronos project in July, setting a 2028 target for first gas from the Block 6 development.
McDermott received a subsea contract in September, while Halliburton received a contract for deepwater well construction and completions.
Block 6 contains more than 3 trillion cubic feet of gas initially in place. Plateau production is expected to reach 500 million standard cubic feet per day.
Eni operates Block 6 and holds a 50% interest; TotalEnergies is its partner. The development plan sends gas to Egypt’s Zohr facilities for processing, then to the Damietta plant for liquefaction and export, mainly to Europe.
Eni plans to market half of the project’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) volumes, equal to 1.4 million metric tons a year.
