Bit2Me’s Bit2Shield Plans Crypto Seizure and Forensics Services
Bit2Me’s team managed more than €1.5 million in seized crypto assets during 2025 in joint operations involving Interpol and Europol.

Bit2Me Group’s Bit2Shield unit is designed to help public authorities and financial institutions trace crypto tied to investigations, safeguard seized assets and prepare forensic reports for court use. Bit2Me announced the unit Sept. 8, 2026.
Planned services include on-chain tracing, technical support during searches and seizures, custody, source-of-funds checks and training. Its team managed more than €1.5 million in seized crypto assets during 2025 in joint operations involving Interpol and Europol.
Under the proposed custody model, assets would be held in isolated multisignature cold wallets owned by Bit2Me. Bit2Shield would coordinate liquidation when ordered by a competent authority. Bitcoinforme, S.L., would convert the crypto to euros, with the proceeds transferred to public entities’ official accounts.
The Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) authorized Bitcoinforme to provide crypto-asset services beginning Oct. 31, 2025.
Adrián Maroño, Bit2Shield’s head of investigations and a former member of the Guardia Civil Central Operational Unit (UCO), described the unit’s approach as “operational rigor, on-chain traceability, and procedural guarantees.”
