Kraken Withdraws Monero Buyer Questions, Keeps Trading Where Supported
The exchange will continue source-of-funds checks. Access and deposit restrictions vary by region.

Kraken has dropped questions asking Monero (XMR) buyers about their employer and why they plan to hold the token, while keeping XMR available for trading in jurisdictions where it is supported.
Customers no longer need to answer the withdrawn employer and intended-use questions. Kraken will continue checking the source of funds, leaving that part of its screening in place.
Trading access still depends on location. Kraken does not accept XMR deposits. Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom cannot trade the token, while customers in Canada and Australia cannot deposit, hold or trade XMR.
The update separates the questions Kraken has ended from its continuing funding checks and regional access rules. The exchange’s XMR availability remains subject to those local restrictions.
