Customers Book Most AWS 2027 Capacity as NVIDIA Invests in Higgsfield
Higgsfield's September annualized revenue pace topped $1 billion, while Western Digital's fiscal first-quarter revenue rose 55% from a year earlier.

AWS capacity bookings and Higgsfield’s funding extension point to demand for AI infrastructure, while Western Digital reported higher revenue and margins.
Customers have booked most of AWS's capacity for 2027, Jassy said. AWS is keeping some capacity available for on-demand services, including EC2 and Bedrock. Reservations indicate customer commitments, rather than revenue already earned. Amazon planned about $220 billion in capital spending for 2026 and is scheduled to report third-quarter results Oct. 29.
NVIDIA and investment firm TCV joined AI video company Higgsfield's Series B extension, which Higgsfield announced Oct. 23. The funding amount and updated valuation were not disclosed. Higgsfield's September annualized revenue run rate exceeded $1 billion about 18 months after the product launched. A run rate projects recent revenue across a year; it does not measure revenue earned over the prior 12 months.
Higgsfield's enterprise contract revenue grew 10-fold from June, while its platform handled about 12 trillion tokens and generated 150 million pieces of content per month. Those figures describe current usage and a projected revenue pace, rather than a full year of recognized sales.
Western Digital recorded $4.381 billion in revenue for its fiscal first quarter, which ended Oct. 2, a 55% increase from a year earlier. Its GAAP gross margin climbed to 57.8% from 43.5%, and operating income rose 158% to $2.046 billion.
China's 月之暗面 launched Kimi K3.1 Pro on Oct. 24, describing it as a model in the 3 trillion-parameter class with a 1 million-token context window. In the company's internal test of code vulnerability discovery and exploitation, the model scored 81%. A version without the training restrictions scored 90.5%, while the earlier K3 scored 33.3%. Full model weights are planned for release before Nov. 4.
