A weekly tally of 76 S&P 500 companies showed that 82% beat earnings-per-share (EPS) estimates, offering a snapshot of results across five sectors as the U.S. reporting season advances.

Year-over-year earnings growth was reported by 79% of the companies. Revenue results showed a different pattern: 63% beat estimates, while 84% recorded revenue growth from a year earlier.

The companies in the tally reported results in Financials, Communication Services, Consumer Discretionary, Industrials and Energy. Meta Platforms, AT&T, GE Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, RTX and IBM raised guidance or outlooks for revenue, EPS or capital spending.

The weekly figures can be compared with a separate season-to-date tally through Oct. 23, when 83% of reporting companies had beaten EPS estimates and 66% had topped revenue forecasts. The weekly and season-to-date figures cover different reporting windows.
