CryptEscrow Partners With Ripple on Crypto-to-Cash Real Estate Deals
The model converts buyers’ cryptocurrency to U.S. dollars before settlement, but the announcement gave no launch date or supported tokens.

CryptEscrow announced a partnership with Ripple on Oct. 22 to support high-value real estate purchases funded with buyers’ cryptocurrency while keeping sellers and title companies within conventional closing procedures.
Under CryptEscrow’s transaction model, a buyer can choose the service independently. Cryptocurrency is converted into U.S. dollars before settlement, after which title and escrow procedures continue through conventional channels. The structure is intended to let buyers use digital assets without requiring sellers, developers or title companies to receive or hold them.
The partnership announcement describes a goal for high-value transactions but does not lay out a specific technical integration. It names no supported tokens or blockchain, launch date, geographic scope, minimum deal size, expected transaction volume or commercial terms. The specific role Ripple would play in the process has not been detailed.
“More buyers want to use digital assets without forcing everyone else involved in the closing to change how they operate,” said John Ioannou, Jr., CryptEscrow’s founder and CEO.
Earlier in 2026, a policy-issuing agent for First American Title handled a $4.2 million home closing through CryptEscrow’s conversion process. The exact closing date was not specified. First American Title does not accept, transmit or custody cryptocurrency in these transactions.
CryptEscrow announced a separate partnership with Kraken on Sept. 10. The arrangement assigns Kraken’s Pro OTC desk to large crypto conversions for luxury and commercial property deals.
Ripple’s separate project with Ctrl Alt in Dubai involves custody for tokenized property title deeds issued on the XRP Ledger. That project concerns digital property records; the CryptEscrow partnership focuses on converting buyers’ crypto to cash for real estate settlement. No launch date was provided for the new partnership.
