Serenity Criticizes Sivers Over Nasdaq Timing and Laser Plans

Serenity says management has not made a clear commitment on Nasdaq listing timing as Sivers plans to add annual capacity for 100 million CW DFB lasers in Q4 2027.

Serenity criticized recent earnings communications from Sivers (SIVE), saying management had not made a clear commitment on the timing of a Nasdaq listing or explained the commercial potential of its laser production capacity.

The messaging could add to concerns about Sivers’ near-term execution. Serenity also pointed to the company’s plan to add annual production capacity for 100 million CW DFB lasers in the fourth quarter of 2027, a period Serenity sees coinciding with an industry supply shortage.

Serenity expects key progress beginning in 2027 in commercialization opportunities involving Sivers, Jabil (JBL) and GlobalFoundries (GFS), as well as in Sivers’ earlier co-packaged optics projects.
