Google Says Gemini App Surpassed 1 Billion Monthly Users

Sundar Pichai cited 950 million monthly active users on July 22; Google gave no precise total for the August milestone.

Google said its Gemini app had passed the 1 billion monthly-user mark by Aug. 11, updating a July audience figure and setting a new disclosed scale milestone for its consumer AI service.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai said July 22 that the app had 950 million monthly active users and daily active users had tripled year over year. Google's Aug. 11 post gave no more precise total, leaving the newer monthly figure above 1 billion without an exact count.
