Crypto trader Kimchi restored an @pumpfun reference to the @kimchi1x profile on Oct. 26, three days after removing it, following a two-day promotional period for the platform.
Hours before the reference returned, ja2trader spent $28,900 on 4.61 million Aura Final Boss (Kimchi) tokens. The asset is identified as Aura Final Boss, with Kimchi as its ticker; multiple tokens have used the Kimchi name.
Pump.fun co-founder Alon posted on Oct. 20 at 7:19 p.m. ET (23:19 UTC) that Kimchi was helping set the platform’s creative direction. Alon also described Kimchi as the first trader to become a celebrity and the first to bridge crypto and popular culture.
The account had removed the reference after two days of promoting Pump.fun. During that earlier promotional period, Pump.fun revenue declined 16% and active addresses fell 11%.
