Sony-backed Soneium plans to issue a SONEIUM ecosystem token and introduce tools for tokenizing entertainment rights, connecting creators, rights holders and fans through its blockchain.

The token has not been issued, and Soneium has not set a date for its token generation event. A planned Soneium Portal would support IP issuance, investment, fan participation and revenue distribution.

Moriusa, a character property from Tokyo-based entertainment group Super State Holdings, is the first IP project planned for Soneium. The network also plans an IP Vault for indirect investment in entertainment assets, including music copyright funds, and IP Bond products backed by entertainment businesses.

Soneium plans to work with South Korean K-pop IP company DayOneDream to bring concert-business royalties from K-pop artists onchain. Its proposed system would record IP ownership and licensing terms and use smart contracts to distribute royalties.

Soneium plans to release further details of the SONEIUM token event later.
