Nasdaq-listed Elbit Systems Ltd. announced Oct. 26 that it had secured about $200 million in airborne defense contracts with an unnamed Asia-Pacific country, covering helicopter targeting, training systems and head-up displays.

The package includes SPECTRO™ 12, a multispectral intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting payload for integration on helicopters. The contracts also cover support and upgrades for airborne training systems already installed on aircraft, along with advanced head-up displays.

The awards cover several types of equipment and services under one approximate contract value. Elbit identified the customer only as an Asia-Pacific country.

The agreements follow a roughly $235 million European rocket systems contract announced Oct. 19. That separate order covers EXTRA medium-range rockets and the Precise & Universal Launching System for a European customer.

Elbit reported an order backlog of $32 billion as of June 30. Work under the Asia-Pacific contracts is scheduled to run for up to five years.
