Apollo is nearing a deal for nearly a 10% stake in Mubadala Capital, the asset-management subsidiary of Abu Dhabi sovereign investor Mubadala Investment Company.

The transaction had not been publicly announced at the time, and its financial terms were unknown. The company’s asset-management, advisory and administrative operations cover more than $755 billion in assets. Separately, it owns the alternatives businesses that manage and invest more than $60 billion.

Apollo and Mubadala Investment Company established a multibillion-dollar partnership in 2022 and extended it in 2024. In 2023, they formed a $2.5 billion joint venture for global private-credit co-investments over five years.
