Walmart Expands Better Care Services With a Multi-Provider Catalog
The catalog combines General Medicine with more than 10 third-party providers and includes cost estimates based on customers’ insurance information.

Walmart is expanding Better Care Services with a catalog that brings together care options from General Medicine and more than 10 third-party providers, giving customers a way to compare services and potential costs.
Walmart announced the expansion Monday, Oct. 26. The catalog covers urgent care, pediatric care, mental health care, nutrition and weight-management support. Walmart plans to add more providers.
The catalog uses customers’ insurance information to estimate what they may pay out of pocket. It also displays a cash price when one is available. Customers can weigh options by location, cost, availability and personal preferences, then proceed to booking or another fulfillment option.
General Medicine provides the technology that links care options with insurance coverage details and possible costs. It also manages customer accounts and information separately from Walmart’s retail business.
Walmart launched Better Care Services in January with connections to third-party urgent-care and behavioral-health providers, along with access to LillyDirect. The new catalog adds General Medicine’s offerings to that service.
