Anthropic Files for Nasdaq IPO With $974 Million Quarterly Operating Profit
The S-1 reports an $80.748 billion first-half net loss, most of it tied to fair-value changes in financing instruments.

Anthropic filed a public registration statement with the SEC for a Nasdaq IPO under ticker ANT, with the filing showing $974 million in second-quarter operating profit despite a much larger first-half net loss.
The company reported $11.555 billion in second-quarter revenue. Operating income improved from a $1.667 billion loss in the first quarter to a $974 million profit in the second. The second-quarter figures cover the three months ended June 30.
For the first six months of 2026, Anthropic recorded an $80.748 billion net loss and a $693 million operating loss. Fair-value changes in financing instruments, including convertible notes, derivative liabilities and SAFE investments (agreements that can convert into equity), accounted for most of the net loss.
The public filing makes the company’s financial and governance disclosures available after it submitted a confidential draft on June 1. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan are listed as lead underwriters.
The offering has not been priced: the filing leaves the share count and price range blank, and does not include third-quarter revenue.
