Daqo New Energy Corp. is set to release its unaudited third-quarter results before U.S. markets open Oct. 27, giving investors an update on production plans at a polysilicon supplier whose Q2 selling price trailed production cost.

The quarter ended Sept. 30. Daqo scheduled a conference call for 8 a.m. ET (12 p.m. UTC) Oct. 27, after the planned premarket release.

Daqo’s August production guidance called for approximately 40,000 to 45,000 metric tons of polysilicon in the third quarter and 160,000 to 180,000 metric tons for full-year 2026. Its total nameplate capacity is 305,000 metric tons. The Q3 guidance range spans the 43,675 metric tons the company produced in Q2.

Daqo sold 15,190 metric tons in Q2. Production and sales measure different steps: one counts material made, while the other counts material sold. The company’s average selling price was $4.04 per kilogram, compared with an average total production cost of $5.95 per kilogram.

Daqo recorded $62.7 million in Q2 revenue and an $81.2 million net loss attributable to shareholders, equal to $1.20 per basic American Depositary Share. Weak domestic demand and elevated inventories weighed on solar-sector prices during the quarter.

Polysilicon is a high-purity material used to make solar ingots, wafers, cells and modules. Daqo supplies the global solar photovoltaic industry, putting its product near the start of that manufacturing chain.

Daqo CEO Xiang Xu said in August, “Our polysilicon transaction and shipment volumes have continued to pick up in the third quarter.” The company’s results call is scheduled for 8 a.m. ET (12 p.m. UTC) Oct. 27.
