Ripple expands 24/7 corporate treasury tools with returns on idle funds
Ripple unveiled round-the-clock treasury tools and a program for earning returns on eligible idle funds, including RLUSD, alongside AI capabilities that connect cash management decisions with execution.

New corporate treasury tools aim to help businesses manage cash and payments outside banking hours while earning returns on eligible idle funds. The offering connects AI-supported decisions with fund movements to support round-the-clock treasury operations.
In a press release issued at Swell 2026 on October 26, Ripple unveiled new Ripple Treasury capabilities for managing corporate cash, liquidity and payments around the clock. Renaat Ver Eecke, senior vice president of Ripple Treasury, said treasury operations need to evolve alongside changes in how businesses move money.
A new orchestration layer integrates with GSmart, its treasury-focused AI capabilities, to coordinate and automate cash visibility, forecasting, transaction reconciliation, liquidity management and payments. Ripple said connecting decisions with execution could reduce manual work and help finance teams respond faster to changing funding needs.
The accompanying 24/7 Returns offering is designed to generate returns on operating funds left unused overnight, on weekends and during holidays. Corporate customers meeting the program requirements can earn returns through eligible crypto assets held in Ripple wallets, including Ripple’s US dollar-pegged stablecoin, RLUSD. Ripple said businesses could put eligible funds to work outside banking hours without directly managing the underlying crypto transactions.
According to the 2026 AFP Liquidity Survey cited by Ripple, 46% of surveyed organizations increased their US cash holdings over the past year. Among treasury professionals, 86% said they would choose real-time money market funds if those products met their organizations’ investment policies. Ripple said those findings pointed to opportunities for businesses to use cash more productively while maintaining necessary liquidity.
Kevin Permenter, research director at IDC, said treasury management was moving from visibility toward execution. He described the challenge as connecting reliable data, analytical capabilities and money movement so that better decisions can be implemented promptly, adding that platforms bringing those functions together were addressing a key constraint.
Ripple said it supports treasury needs at global businesses including American Airlines, Trex, Christian Louboutin, Subway, Adecco and Kingfisher. Trex chief executive Blake Tablak said payment accuracy and security were central to the business and required trusted partners and an ecosystem, adding that its work with Ripple Treasury had delivered value from the outset.
Ripple plans to bring treasury management, payments, liquidity, stablecoins and custody together to help companies manage and move funds across fiat and crypto payment networks. Ver Eecke said the company’s vision was to enable finance teams to act faster and operate continuously while retaining control and avoiding added complexity.
