Jazz Estimates $755 Million Actio Charge in Third-Quarter Results
The company expects the charge to reduce GAAP and adjusted earnings per share by about $11.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals expects its third-quarter 2026 results to include an approximately $755 million pre-tax research and development charge tied to Actio Biosciences, with an estimated $11-per-share earnings impact.
The expense is an acquired in-process research and development (IPR&D) charge. Jazz estimates the non-tax-deductible charge will reduce both GAAP earnings per share and non-GAAP adjusted earnings per share by about $11.
The quarter ended Sept. 30. Jazz said quarter-end closing procedures could affect the final figures.
Jazz completed its acquisition of Actio on Sept. 15 for $820 million upfront. Actio brought ABS-1230, a clinical-stage candidate for KCNT1-related epilepsy, into Jazz’s portfolio.
Jazz plans to release its third-quarter results Nov. 2 after U.S. markets close. A webcast is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET.
