India’s September Petroleum-Product Exports Climb 31.9% to $6.22 Billion
The estimate was below July’s $6.92 billion and August’s $6.81 billion. The monthly figures do not separate diesel exports or show shipment volumes.

India’s petroleum-product exports were valued at an estimated $6.22 billion in September, up 31.9% year over year but below July and August, marking a pullback after two stronger months.
The September estimate compares with $4.71 billion a year earlier. Monthly exports were valued at $6.92 billion in July and $6.81 billion in August.
The figures cover petroleum products as a group. They do not provide a diesel-only export value or shipment volume, so the September total does not show how much diesel was exported.
At a Sept. 24 forum in New Delhi, India’s Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said, “Once we have made a commitment to export, it is important that we honour that commitment.”
