Travala Promotes Shiba Inu for Car Rentals, Citing 50,000+ Locations

Travala is promoting Shiba Inu (SHIB) as a payment option for rentals on a network spanning more than 50,000 locations, though the post does not specify which listings accept the token.

“Rent cars in 50,000+ locations worldwide and pay seamlessly with $SHIB on Travala,” the company wrote. The post did not give a count of bookings paid in SHIB or the volume of those payments.

Travala launched its car-rental service Feb. 25, 2026, in partnership with CarTrawler. The launch offered access to more than 50,000 locations in more than 150 countries, with more than 1,700 suppliers. Its announcement listed 10 cryptocurrency payment options but did not include SHIB.

Travala’s general payment list includes SHIB among 129 options for more than 3 million travel products. The list does not specify which payment options apply to car rentals.
