Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to release third-quarter results Wednesday, Oct. 28, giving a fresh measure of whether customer transactions sustained growth after comparable restaurant sales rose 2.2% in Q2.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 increased 9.3% from a year earlier to $3,348.6 million. New restaurant openings accounted for most of the increase, while comparable sales rose 2.2%. Transactions at comparable restaurants climbed 1%, and the average check increased 1.2%. Chipotle’s second-quarter sales and transaction results provide the latest benchmark ahead of the report.

Chipotle anticipated about 1% comparable-sales growth in Q3 if an approximately 200-basis-point impact continued. That would be below the 2.2% increase recorded in Q2.

Chipotle’s full-year 2026 outlook calls for comparable restaurant sales growth in the low single digits. Comparable-sales headwinds are tied to a dynamic consumer environment, including customer responses to recent U.S. food-safety concerns and geopolitical developments. Worsening comparable-sales trends during Q3 or later could materially hurt results.

Chipotle calculates comparable sales using company-owned restaurants that have operated for at least 13 full calendar months. The company is scheduled to release results at about 4:10 p.m. ET (20:10 UTC) Wednesday, followed by a conference call at 4:30 p.m. ET (20:30 UTC).
