Corning’s third-quarter 2026 core sales translated to an annualized $20.3 billion pace, putting its Springboard goal one quarter ahead of the year-end 2026 deadline for reaching $20 billion.

The annualized figure expresses a quarterly sales pace; it is not full-year revenue. Chairman, CEO and President Wendell P. Weeks said, “Just one quarter after upgrading our plan, we are exceeding our Springboard target of a $20 billion run rate by the end of 2026.”

Corning forecast fourth-quarter core sales of $5.2 billion to $5.3 billion and core earnings per share of $0.96 to $1.00. The midpoint of the sales range, $5.25 billion, implies a $21 billion annualized pace. The company expects year-over-year growth of about 19% in core sales and 36% in core earnings per share.

Q3 core sales rose 19% year over year to $5.081 billion, while core earnings per share increased 36% to $0.91. Core sales and earnings per share are non-GAAP measures. On a GAAP basis, sales were $4.855 billion and diluted earnings per share were $0.78. The Q4 outlook gives core figures without a GAAP comparison. Earlier coverage of Corning’s quarterly results and outlook detailed the earnings beats and guidance.

Optical Communications sales climbed 44% to $2.379 billion. Enterprise Networks sales grew 84%, and sales of generative AI products increased more than 100% year over year.

Springboard sets annualized sales targets of $30 billion by the end of 2028 and $40 billion by the end of 2030.
