IQVIA Records $11.7 Billion in 12-Month Net New Bookings
The total rose 14% year over year. R&D Solutions recorded $3.2 billion in third-quarter bookings, up 15%.

IQVIA recorded $11.7 billion in net new bookings for the 12 months ended Sept. 30, 2026, up 14% from the year-earlier period. The figure covers a full year, while the company’s third-quarter bookings totaled $3.2 billion.
Third-quarter net new bookings for R&D Solutions rose 15% year over year. The segment’s book-to-bill ratio was 1.2x, a measure comparing new bookings with revenue. IQVIA Chairman and CEO Ari Bousbib credited higher win rates with “our strongest clinical quarterly bookings since 2022.”
IQVIA raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $17.350 billion-$17.500 billion, from $17.275 billion-$17.475 billion. Its adjusted EBITDA range increased to $4.025 billion-$4.055 billion, from $4.000 billion-$4.050 billion. Adjusted diluted EPS guidance is now $12.90-$13.00, compared with $12.80-$13.00 previously.
The revenue outlook includes a 250-basis-point contribution from acquisitions, including deals IQVIA expects to complete by year-end, and an approximately 20-basis-point foreign-exchange tailwind. The forecast assumes exchange rates as of Oct. 26 remain in effect.
Third-quarter revenue was $4.428 billion, up 8% year over year, or 8.6% at constant currency. Adjusted diluted EPS increased 11.3% to $3.34. R&D Solutions revenue rose 8.7% to $2.639 billion, while Commercial Solutions revenue increased 6.9% to $1.789 billion.
R&D Solutions had $32.6 billion in contracted backlog at Sept. 30. IQVIA expects about $9.4 billion to convert to revenue over the next 12 months, up 10% year over year. A review of inactive trials reduced the backlog estimate by about $2.1 billion; IQVIA said the adjustment did not affect its 2026 outlook or its estimate of backlog revenue over the next 12 months.
