American Electric Power (AEP) has set its third-quarter 2026 earnings webcast for Oct. 28, putting a higher 2026 operating earnings outlook and 69 GW in contracted load growth through 2030 in focus.

The webcast is scheduled for 9 a.m. ET (1 p.m. UTC) Wednesday. AEP raised its full-year operating earnings guidance in July to $6.25 to $6.55 per share, from a previous range of $6.15 to $6.45. Each end of the range increased by $0.10 per share.

AEP recorded operating earnings per share of $3.01 for the first half of 2026, compared with $2.98 in the same period a year earlier. For the second quarter, operating EPS was $1.36, down from $1.43 in the 2025 quarter. The company uses operating earnings, a non-GAAP measure, to communicate its outlook and results.

Customer load agreements were another part of AEP’s second-quarter update. The utility signed agreements covering six GW during the quarter, bringing its contracted load growth through 2030 to 69 GW. The agreements cover hyperscalers, data centers and industrial customers, with most of the activity in Texas.

AEP also reaffirmed a five-year capital plan totaling $78 billion and a long-term operating earnings growth target of 7% to 9% through 2030. The company tied the plan to expanding electricity demand.

For comparison, AEP’s third-quarter 2025 results included $6.01 billion in revenue, GAAP EPS of $1.82 and operating EPS of $1.80. The Oct. 28 webcast is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET (1 p.m. UTC).
