United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) logged record wafer shipments in the third quarter, when revenue reached $2.32 billion, a 25.6% increase from a year earlier.
Earnings were $0.206 per American depositary share (ADS). Taiwan-dollar earnings were NT$1.32 per share.
UMC expects wafer shipments and capacity utilization to remain steady in the fourth quarter.
