The core contributor team for Mantle proposed lower spending limits for its fourth budget cycle, setting caps of 40 million USDx units and 150 million Mantle (MNT) tokens for July 2026 through June 2027, below the previous cycle’s limits.

The MIP-35 proposal remains under discussion. Its proposed caps compare with 52 million USDx units and 200 million MNT in the prior cycle.

The budget covers personnel, administration, marketing, ecosystem work, infrastructure and security. Fundraising, treasury strategy, liquidity provision and investments fall outside the proposed caps.

If actual or projected spending exceeds a limit for a category or the total budget, it would require a separate discussion and vote.
