OpenAI and ServiceNow expanded their enterprise AI partnership Wednesday, Oct. 28, linking OpenAI models and agents with ServiceNow workflows and connecting those workflows with ChatGPT and Codex.

The expansion builds on a multiyear strategic agreement the companies outlined in January. Under that agreement, ServiceNow named OpenAI models a preferred intelligence capability for its customers. The companies also planned joint engineering and customized enterprise AI work.

The January collaboration included plans for speech-to-speech capabilities and computer-use automation. ServiceNow's AI Control Tower was positioned as the collaboration's governance and orchestration layer.

ServiceNow already offered OpenAI-powered tools for employee help, summaries, writing and software development. The latest update extends the companies' product connections to ServiceNow workflows, ChatGPT and Codex.
