Goldman Sachs has started using Equilend’s 1Source securities-lending platform, adding another major bank to a shared-ledger system designed to reduce record mismatches and settlement failures.

The system keeps a common record of securities-lending transactions and subsequent changes. Equilend built 1Source on Canton Network. Its shared record is designed to limit repeated reconciliation work and inconsistencies between financial institutions’ records.

BNY and National Bank of Canada began transmitting live transaction data to 1Source in October 2025. Goldman Sachs now joins those banks as a user of the platform.
