TD Securities expects U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) to grow 2.5% in the third quarter, with consumer spending and investment supporting activity as net exports and inventories could weigh on growth.

The projection is above the 2.2% growth recorded in the second quarter, when GDP growth slowed from 2.5% in the first quarter. TokenPost covered the second-quarter GDP report.

TD Securities also projects the year-over-year increase in the core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index to reach 3.1%, up from 3%.
