Builders FirstSource posted $3.85 billion in third-quarter revenue and GAAP earnings of 56 cents per share, topping analyst estimates as net sales fell 2.2% from a year earlier.

Revenue exceeded estimates by $100 million, while earnings per share beat estimates by 19 cents. Net sales totaled $3.9 billion. Builders FirstSource attributed the decline primarily to a lower housing-starts environment and related headwinds.

The results follow the company’s 2026 outlook, which projected adjusted EBITDA of $1 billion to $1.2 billion and said single-family starts in its operating regions could decline by mid- to high-single digits.
