PhotonPay Raises $40 Million to Expand Its Financial Operating System
Blockchain Capital led the Series C. SBI Group joined IDG Capital, GL Ventures and Lightspeed Faction as an investor.

PhotonPay has raised $40 million in a Series C round to expand its Financial Operating System, a platform designed to connect stablecoin liquidity with traditional financial networks for businesses.
Blockchain Capital led the financing. SBI Group joined as a new investor, while existing backers IDG Capital, GL Ventures and Lightspeed Faction invested again. Blacksheep Technology served as the round’s exclusive financial adviser.
PhotonPay plans to use the capital to expand multi-asset wallets that support stablecoins and fiat currencies, increase global card issuance and build out local clearing. It also plans to develop a financial execution layer that AI agents can call.
The Financial Operating System is designed to help businesses manage and deploy funds across assets and markets. Separately, PhotonPay is pursuing financial infrastructure for AI-driven workflows and agentic commerce.
Founded in Hong Kong in 2015, PhotonPay operates 16 offices. It holds more than 30 payment and financial licenses and regulatory approvals across the Americas, Europe and Asia, and serves businesses in about 200 countries and territories.
