Serval Raises $150 Million at $3 Billion Valuation for AI Expansion
The company plans to hire more than 500 people over the next 12 months, including more than 100 Automation Engineers for its ProServal services arm.

Serval’s $150 million Series C will fund an effort to take its AI workflow platform into security, human resources, finance and legal, extending the enterprise software company beyond its original IT focus.
The company announced the financing Oct. 29, with Sequoia leading the round. The deal values Serval at $3 billion, triple the $1 billion valuation it announced alongside its $75 million Series B in December 2025. Serval described the Series C as its third financing in 12 months.
Elad Gil, Evantic, First Round, General Catalyst and Redpoint returned as backers. Conviction and Headline joined the investor group. The new round brings Serval’s disclosed funding total to $277 million, following $52 million in funding after its Series A and the $75 million Series B.
Catalyst, Serval’s AI agent, turns business requirements into code-based workflows. Administrators set permissions, guardrails and approval steps. Serval names IT, security, human resources, finance and legal as departments that can use the platform, broadening its stated scope beyond IT support.
Serval also describes a deployment at an unnamed automotive manufacturer that replaced ServiceNow in 45 days. Co-founder and CEO Jake Stauch has positioned Catalyst as an alternative to service-management platforms such as ServiceNow.
The company plans to add more than 500 people during the 12 months after the announcement. More than 100 of those hires are slated for ProServal, its professional services arm. Automation Engineers in the unit will work with enterprise customers to find processes for automation and help redesign workflows.
About half of the planned Automation Engineers are expected to be recent graduates who complete a four-week training program. Serval’s hiring plan pairs its software expansion with a larger customer-facing team to help enterprises apply the platform across departments.
