Bisignano Family Fund Donates $250 Each to Eligible Brooklyn Children’s Trump Accounts
The gift covers eligible children ages 2 to 8 in ZIP code 11234, Bisignano’s Brooklyn hometown ZIP code. Contributions will be invested in a diversified index fund.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced Thursday that the Bisignano Family Fund donated $250 each to Trump Accounts for eligible children ages 2 to 8 in Brooklyn, extending private giving to the federal savings program.
Eligible recipients live in ZIP code 11234, which is in Brooklyn and is IRS CEO Frank Bisignano’s hometown ZIP code. Each donation will be invested in a diversified index fund.
“My life was shaped by the people, schools, and neighborhoods in Marine Park, Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, and Flatlands,” Bisignano said in a statement. In July, he was tasked with leading efforts to expand access to Trump Accounts.
Trump Accounts are available to U.S. citizens younger than 18 who have Social Security numbers. Treasury has automatically enrolled more than 60 million children, but families must activate an account for eligible contributions to reach it. A Treasury pilot also offers a $1,000 contribution for children born in 2025, 2026, 2027 or 2028.
Treasury’s September temporary rules allow Trump Accounts to hold donated individual stocks, expanding the types of gifts beyond diversified, low-cost index funds. The stock-contribution rules established a framework for share donations.
Altimeter Capital CEO Brad Gerstner has committed about $35 million to help fund children’s accounts in Indiana.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk plans to give one SpaceX share to every U.S. child through Trump Accounts in 2027.
