Roblox Forecasts 10% to 15% Q4 Bookings Decline Year Over Year
The outlook assumes a seasonal drop in daily active users and no near-term improvement in monetization. Roblox also expects higher spending on AI infrastructure and marketing to people 18 and older.

Roblox expects fourth-quarter bookings to fall 10% to 15% year over year, a forecast that includes seasonal user declines and comes alongside $380 million in planned Q4 capital spending for AI.
The bookings outlook assumes normal seasonal declines in daily active users, a modest GTA-related headwind and no near-term improvement in monetization. Separately, Roblox expects higher fourth-quarter spending on AI infrastructure and marketing aimed at people 18 and older.
Third-quarter free cash flow benefited by about $140 million from capital expenditures shifted into the fourth quarter. The spending shift means some planned investment moved between quarters.
Daily asset uploads tripled month over month. AI was used in creating more than 80% of top games, measured by hours played. Roblox is investing in AI tools and initiatives, including Build and Universal Player; the timing of any effect on bookings remains uncertain.
David Baszucki said the company’s long-term objective is “to capture 10% of the global gaming market on Roblox with an even greater share in the U.S.”
