Anthropic has submitted an S-1 seeking a Nasdaq listing under ANT, moving the AI company toward public markets and raising questions about when individual investors can buy shares directly.

The filing moves Anthropic toward a public share offering, but final IPO terms, including price, remain unconfirmed. ANT is the proposed Nasdaq ticker, the symbol that would identify the shares on the exchange.

Direct retail access remains limited until the offering is completed. Other routes include institutional channels, ETFs and indirect exposure through companies holding stakes in Anthropic. Amazon and Alphabet are examples.

Buying an ETF or a stakeholding company provides indirect exposure rather than direct ownership in Anthropic. The company is known for Claude, its family of AI models.

A future amendment to the registration statement could establish an IPO price range, one key detail in the process. Anthropic shares are not yet trading on Nasdaq as a public company.
